There are many forgotten places in Bolesławiec whose history could make them interesting to residents. One such place is the observation tower located on the wooded hill by Piastów Street. The reconstruction of the tower is planned for 2017. The project is worth nearly PLN 600,000. However, whether Jenny will see better times depends on obtaining funding for this purpose—and not a small amount, as nearly PLN 509,000 is needed—from support funds.
“The main objective of the project is to create an observation point based on the tower, restore the layout of the park located on the wooded hill to the period of its greatest splendor, and introduce contemporary functions to revive the area,” city officials say. “As part of the project, elements of the plot’s development will be implemented, including access paths and roads, a pedestrian and bicycle path, site lighting, small-scale architectural features, monitoring, and underground technical infrastructure.
