Before the December session of the Bolesławiec County Council began, county officials honored Sonia Turzyniecka, a disabled armwrestler, resident of and representative of Bolesławiec County, who won the World Cup in November. (As a result of this victory, the next edition of the competition will be held in Poland.) Our champion’s profile was presented by Ryszard Kawka, chair of the Council. He added: “We believe that we will be proud of your sporting achievements many more times yet.”
The local government prepared Christmas packages for the outstanding armwrestler. The champion, in turn, presented the county head, Karol Stasik, with a World Cup medal on behalf of the Polish Armwrestling Federation.
