The Mayor of Bolesławiec points out that many development-oriented investments are not included in the city budget. Among them, he mentions plans to build a new bridge over the Bóbr, carry out a comprehensive renovation of the PKP railway station and build a bypass. The reconstruction of DW 297 – the south-eastern bypass of Bolesławiec – has begun. One element of the project is a turbo roundabout that will connect the new bypass with national road No. 94.

“I am pleased to announce that I have received a letter from the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways informing me that the commencement of preparatory work for the implementation of the project ‘Expansion of the transport system, including the reconstruction of the existing bridge and construction of a new bridge over the Bóbr River along national road No. 94 (formerly No. 4) in Bolesławiec, Lower Silesian Voivodeship’ has been included in the draft national Road Network Action Programme for Engineering Structures on Roads,” informs city mayor Piotr Roman.

The municipal office also received good news from the Polish Athletics Association. The PZLA president announced that he had supported the efforts of the Bolesławiec city authorities and MKS Bolesłavia Bolesławiec officials to include the construction of a stadium and an athletics training hall in the “Investment Programme of Particular Importance for Polish Sport”.

The City also received very good news from the County: beginning in January 2017, the county government plans to implement the “Family Support Centre in Bolesławiec County” project, co-financed by the funds of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Regional Operational Programme 2014–2020. The County authorities asked the Municipality of Bolesławiec to make rooms available in the building at 32d Tysiąclecia Street. We will return to this subject.
