Municipal Orchestra and Kleszcz at Grodziec Castle

Here is the second installment of the hip-hop adventure of Bolesławiec’s brass musicians—this time, a music video by the RAPocztówka project featuring Kleszcz, “W obliczu sprawy takiej.” The video was filmed in the picturesque setting of Grodziec Castle.

The second musical postcard performed by the Municipal Brass Orchestra “Bolesławiec” concludes this year’s series of “RAPocztówki.” The Bolesławiec orchestra was honored both by opening the second RAPocztówki series—the “Sekunda” music video featuring Rahim—and by the music video concluding the Rebel Babel project, “W obliczu sprawy takiej,” featuring Kleszcz, or Łukasz Stępień—a Silesian rapper born in 1988.

The Rebel Babel project was created on the initiative of Wrocław musicians, composers and performers: L.U.C and Adam Lepka, as well as Danish composer and conductor Feat. Jan. Its premise is to be a mini-platform for meetings between professional hip-hop musicians and selected brass orchestras: municipal, mining or fire-service orchestras. The result of these meetings is a series of extraordinary hip-hop-folk projects at the intersection of different musical worlds. This year’s autumn was very busy for the Bolesławiec orchestra: in addition to participating in two music videos for the RAPocztówka project, the Municipal Brass Orchestra “Bolesławiec” (bandmaster Jan Chojnacki) also took part in the Rymoliryktando 2016 concert at Termy Cieplickie. On October 1, 2016, the Bolesławiec musicians accompanied hip-hop performers including L.U.C, K2 and MARIKA.
