The incident occurred on Saturday, 17 December, on Kosiby Street, near a Żabka store. The driver of a Nissan (a 27-year-old resident of Bolesławiec Municipality), who was driving towards the city centre, failed to give way to a pedestrian (a 32-year-old resident of Bolesławiec) who was crossing at the pedestrian crossing. The pedestrian was hit.
An ambulance took the unconscious injured man to hospital. The 32-year-old man died there. The editorial team of istotne.pl extends its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased.
The Nissan driver could face up to 8 years in prison.
