Participants in the University of the Third Age (UTW) in Bolesławiec studied under the guidance of artist and visual arts teacher Katarzyna Sas. Jolanta also gained many valuable experiences from her fellow members of the UTW group. Jolanta Koźmin exhibited her works in the summer of 2015 on the fence of a property in the “Gallery on the Fence”, and in the autumn at the “Gallery on the Stairs”; since November, she has been organizing literary and painting meetings in her studio. Her motto is: “Painting is silent poetry, and poetry is speaking painting”.
The December exhibition at the Format gallery is the second exhibition of Jolanta Koźmin’s works. In addition to illustrations for Irena Starska’s poetry, the painter also illustrated a volume of poetry by Halina Prządka and Jacek Pelian, with whom she formed a poetic and painting duo.
