The opening of the exhibition of works by participants in the Occupational Therapy Workshops in Bolesławiec took place on September 16 in the lobby of the county office. The exhibition’s motto, proposed by the artists with disabilities, is “We live among you.”
The exhibits were created over several months. There are sculptures, photographs and... vegetables grown by participants in the gardening and maintenance workshop.
“The works created by people with disabilities are authentic and unique,” Justyna Ambroży, head of the Occupational Therapy Workshops in Bolesławiec, told IstotneInformacje.pl.Justyna Ambroży “You can see in them the sensitivity and beauty of these people’s souls. We, able-bodied people, should learn this sensitivity from them,” she adds.
The artists’ works can be purchased at the WTZ headquarters on Grunwaldzka Street. Proceeds from the sale of the works will be allocated to the vocational and social rehabilitation of people with disabilities. “Recently, we managed to find jobs for three people,” says Justyna Ambroży.
The exhibition can be visited until September 26.
