I watched a promotional video from the grand ceremony marking the opening of the new fence at the municipal preschool on Mikołaja Brody Street. In attendance: the mayor, councillors, the head of the Social Affairs Department, directors of municipal institutions and the obligatory priest. Quite something. Official. The teachers drilled the children and prepared an artistic performance. There were dances and choreography: little angel girls danced to the rhythm of “Hallelujah,” while boys in afro wigs danced to the hit “I Wiggle My Body Boldly.”

Here is a summary of the ceremony:

The mayor’s and the preschool director’s speeches suggested that this was a series released in episodes. In addition to the fence, the building’s interior was also modernized. I wonder why we missed the other episodes filmed at this location? For example, the opening of the modernized toilets under the title “Blessing the toilets and cutting ribbons on tiny crap-holes.”

Dear Local Government Promotion Office, whoever you consist of and whoever runs the place, let me tell you: people are laughing at what you do. It is embarrassing. It is shameful to watch what grown adults take part in.
