On Wednesday, September 10, the Federation of Young Social Democrats once again organized school supply packages for children. This year, twenty children from Gromadka municipality received packages containing essential school supplies, such as notebooks, pens, crayons, markers and drawing pads.
FMS activists met with the children at the Municipal Cultural Centre. “By organizing such school supply drives, we not only fulfill the social mission that is one of the Federation’s tasks, but above all we help those who genuinely need this assistance. And this awareness is the best part of it all,” says Michał Banaś, chairman of FMS in Bolesławiec County. “I am extremely happy that I was able to help these children. I hope that these gifts will be useful and that, thanks to them, the children will achieve many successes in their studies,” adds Ula Słabiak, one of the campaign’s organizers.
“The smiles on the children’s faces and their joy at receiving the gifts are most precious to me. There is nothing better than the feeling that you have done something good,” admits Marcela Świeboda, an FMS activist.
The Federation of Young Social Democrats’ campaign was supported by activists from the Democratic Left Alliance and private sponsors.
