In November 2016, another series of meetings במסגרת the TAURON social campaign under the slogan “If you don’t know them, don’t let them in!” begins. The project is aimed at seniors, who during the meetings will learn how to protect their privacy and avoid being deceived by fraudsters.
The meeting in Bolesławiec במסגרת the “If you don’t know them, don’t let them in!” campaign will take place on Wednesday, November 30, at 10:00 at Forum cinema on Piłsudskiego Square. Participation in the “If you don’t know them, don’t let them in” campaign is free, so everyone interested in the subject is welcome.
The meeting will be led by Michał Fajbusiewicz, a journalist and columnist known for the programs “Magazyn kryminalny 997” and “Fajbusiewicz na tropie”. During the lecture, Michał Fajbusiewicz will present
- the main threats faced by older people,
- describe the most common techniques used by fraudsters,
- and point out simple solutions that will help seniors improve safety at home.
The lecture will also cover the rules for signing safe contracts and the most important rights of every consumer. After the meeting, all seniors will receive the “Safe Customer’s Guide”, containing the most important information, as well as gifts from the organizer. The campaign is another element of TAURON’s ongoing active involvement in addressing problems related to the safety of seniors and promoting behaviors that increase the safety of older people in everyday life.
