After victories over volleyball players from the capital of Lower Silesia and a team from the capital of Greater Poland, it was time for the first clash with Olavia Oława. The first set, after a hard-fought battle, went to the visitors (21). In the second set, the Oława side were once again slightly more effective, winning 25:23. In the third set, the visitors quickly built a lead of several points, but “Elektryczni” caught up and took the lead. It therefore seemed that the match would last a little longer. Unfortunately, after a dramatic finish to the set, the Oława team defeated BTS Elektros 29:27, winning the entire match 3:0.

BTS Elektros: Wojciech Nitecki, Artur Sławnikowski (captain), Damian Śliwiński, Dariusz Tkaczuk, Filip Michalewski, Łukasz Mesjasz, Robert Walkowiak, Wojciech Marcinkiewicz, Rafał Wójtowicz, Paweł Kozłowski, Kamil Razik (libero).

– Every team is within our reach if our reception is good, but today we played poorly in that area. We did not follow the tactics we had planned before the match, says “Elektryczni” coach Marcin Sobczyszyn. – Two players cannot beat a team as experienced as Olavia Oława. We made many mistakes, and that tipped the scales of victory in favor of the Oława side. We were leading in the third set, but then a lack of concentration crept into our ranks. We conceded two aces and lost 0:3.

It is worth noting that BTS Elektros played today with a depleted squad. Only 11 players appeared on the court, due to both health problems and work commitments. Among those absent was Mateusz Świerzewski, who twisted his ankle. – But his replacement, Robert Walkowiak, did a great job, adds the “Elektryczni” coach.

The volleyball players from the City of Ceramics will now face a team from Nowa Sól, again on their home court.
