A group of young people from Bolesławiec and the surrounding area has been preparing for several weeks to make its second film. Last year, during the summer holidays, they shot “peron B” – a short amateur fiction film about our town. Residents of Bolesławiec had the opportunity to watch it on local television at the end of October and in May this year at Forum Cinema, during the amateur film review “Trzecia Fala”.
The director and screenwriter, 17-year-old Przemysław Filipowicz, is now assembling the crew and equipment. As in “peron B”, the main role will be played by Marek Tabor, a teenager from Brzeźnik, as well as by Natalia Szklarska. Besides them, the group will include friends and acquaintances, as well as volunteers who applied for the casting held at the end of May.
An Idea Taken from Life
The working title of the new film is “The End of the Wall”. The subject of the screenplay, which was written in just a few days, is violence and young people’s fascination with brutality and aggression. Where did the idea come from? Przemysław Filipowicz says that “the film project was born from observing young people’s behaviour, as well as from my own experiences.”
The filmmakers appeal to anyone wishing to support their project by lending equipment or covering part of the production costs.
