“Ósemka” hosted participants in the District Mathematics Competition for seventh- and eighth-grade classes on March 4 this year. The winner of this year’s edition was “Czwórka” student MICHAŁ GÓRZYŃSKI, who scored the maximum 30 points by solving all five problems flawlessly! Congratulations!
JUSTYNA MARUT (SP 6) took second place, ELŻBIETA KLECHA (SP 2) and TOMASZ PAWICKI (SP Lwówek Śl.) shared third place, while the subsequent places went to KATARZYNA PAWICKA (SP2 Lwówek Śl.) and ANNA WIŚNIOWSKA (SP 4), SEBASTIAN STĘPNIAK (SP 10), and KATARZYNA JĘDRZEJEWSKA (SP 4). The eight laureates will compete in the regional competition in April.
Justyna MARUT and Kasia PAWICKA are seventh-grade students, while Kasia and Tomek PAWICKI are siblings. Words of recognition are due to the mathematics teachers: EWA SŁOCIŃSKA and ANNA HIL from “Czwórka”, ZDZISŁAWA HRYNIEWICZ from SP 6, TERESA TRAWNICZEK from SP2, HALINA BRANDES from SP 10, and ALICJA KLRLEJ from Lwówek Śl. The efficient organization of the competition was thanks to the teachers of SP 8: ANNA MARCINIEC (chair of the jury), KRYSTYNA MŁYNICKA, and KRYSTYNA ŻURALSKA, as well as WOM methodological adviser ZOFIA DIAKOWSKA.
