We are pleased to note the social commitment and civic-minded attitudes of people in green uniforms. The military was the first to respond to our appeal for assistance to the Hospital for the Nervously and Mentally Ill in Bolesławiec, where specialists from many fields will provide help with renovation and refurbishment work. The rest is up to those concerned. The campaign is not closed, and any further assistance—mainly with equipment and furniture—is welcome.
The commander of the military unit, Col. Stanisław CHWOJNICKI, also has a big heart for the children at the local Children’s Home run by nuns. His permanent patronage of this care and educational institution is restoring the full color of childhood to its charges. On their behalf, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the officers and soldiers of the local Polish Army garrison.
