What is the way out of the situation in which many residents of Bolesławiec repeatedly complain about the poor quality of gas in the municipal network? For some, the flame in their cookers goes out; others have trouble heating water in bathroom boilers; for some, the thin copper pipes in their gas central-heating boilers become blocked; and everyone consistently complains about the high operating costs of the appliances and the price of a cubic metre of gas, which keeps rising and rising...
- It would be enough to install a calorimeter in a visible place accessible to everyone – says Mr KONOPKA, who was professionally involved in the gas industry for many years. It could be placed by the Town Hall or anywhere else with a flow of network gas. From then on, all doubts as to the type of mixture (e.g. its nitrogen content) and its calorific value, and therefore its heating value, would disappear. The cost of the device would be small, while the benefits for the town and its residents would be enormous. It is probably worth taking advantage of this proposal.
