On 24 March, the 3rd Municipal Children’s Song Contest took place in Żeliszów. It was organized by the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre in Kruszyn. Ten primary schools took part in the contest: Żeliszów, Kruszyn, Brzeźnik, Kraśnik Dolny, Kraśnik Górny, Trzebień, Nowe Jaroszowice, Nowa Wieś Kraśnicka, Ocice and Łaziska. The contest jury consisted of Zofia Michalska, Nina Narbut, Elżbieta Popek and the director of GOKiS, Janusz Cieśla. After listening to
31 songs (10 groups and 21 soloists), it decided to award the following prizes:
In the group category, joint first place was awarded to the vocal group from Ocice and the vocal-instrumental group from Żeliszów, featuring the talented soloist Ula Żugaj. In this category, the jury did not award second or third place. Distinctions went to the group from Nowe Jaroszowice for its staging and the group from Trzebień.
In the soloist category, first place went to Ilonka Izba from Nowa Wieś Kraśnicka, second place to Dominika Orawiec from Brzeźnik, third place to Dagmara Cebrowska from Kraśnik Dolny, and joint fourth place to Dorotka Szpila from Kruszyn and Bartek Rajczakowski from Nowa Wieś Kraśnicka.
