The Society of Friends of Children, together with the Polish Red Cross, following the example of previous holidays, organized Christmas parcels for the poorest and for large families. Young people from the TPD club collected donations for this purpose. An additional 3 million zlotys was allocated from the PCK and TPD funds, which, together with the collection, brought the total to 4,800,000 zlotys. Goods for 50 parcels were purchased. The “Ankada” wholesaler donated sweets worth 1 million zlotys free of charge, while Mr Bronisław Kozłowski, head of the “Margaryna” wholesaler, also donated vegetable fats for the parcels free of charge.
