BLUES BAND REVIEW BLUES NAD BOBREM 12–20 August 1995 offers an opportunity to become a BLUESMAN. In Bolesławiec in August,

-famous for the production of original stoneware—functional ceramics,
-host of the artistic Ceramic and Sculpture Open-Air Workshops
-a city that in recent years has been promoted throughout Poland and abroad thanks to BLUES NAD BOBREM.

KRZYSZTOF ŚCIERAŃSKI, playing bass guitar using various guitar techniques and several typical devices, creates music that sounds like an entire orchestra. He has recorded around 40 albums, including 6 of his own. Professional magazines write about him: “Guitar Player” and “Jazz Podium”. For many years, he has ranked first in “Jazz Forum” polls. He played with LABORATORIUM, STRING CONNECTION and AIR CONDITION, as well as with his own TRIO, appearing at most major festivals.
PIANO JANUSZ BLECHARZ—a blues stylist.
A seeker and collector of recordings by blues pianists. Co-creator and shareholder of the Krakow group MONKEY BUSINESS. He recorded the album “BIELSZY ODCIEŃ BLUESA”.
JACEK KRZAKLEWSKI—a “globetrotter” guitarist, on stage since 1964. He played in the best rock, blues and other bands. Author and performer of the television program “CZARY Z GITARY”. Currently the guitarist of “Perfect”. Despite his extensive concert activity, he finds time for teaching as a lecturer at the “Blues nad Bobrem” workshops. He is very popular with the workshop participants.
DRUMS ZBIGNIEW LEWANDOWSKI—is one of the most active drummers and jazz leaders in Poland and abroad. Twenty-five years ago, he made his debut as the drummer of SAMYCH SWOICH. A laureate of many renowned jazz festivals. He has made numerous recordings for radio, television, theatre and film. He played with many bands and leaders, including BUDDY RICH, PHILL WOODS, STAN GETZ, URBANIAK, STAŃKO, NAMYSŁOWSKI and many others.
JANUSZ KONEFAŁ—guitarist, composer, arranger and author of two guitar-playing textbooks. Leader of GRUPA 1111, which won the top awards at festivals in 1975–76. Since then, he has maintained an active concert schedule in Poland and abroad. He has repeatedly given lectures as part of “MAŁA AKADEMIA JAZZU”. Most recently, in the “JAZZ DUO” group, he has been working with the Japanese company YAMAHA.
BASS GUITAR ANDRZEJ PLUSZCZ—on stage for more than 20 years; 15 albums recorded, including abroad.
He works with rock, rhythm and blues, jazz and blues bands—RECYDYWA BLUES BAND and Tadeusz Nalepa’s band. With foreign bands, such as THE PEATERS, he toured Germany and Switzerland. Author of a bass guitar textbook published by MINIMAX. He has repeatedly headed the Blues nad Bobrem Workshops.
