The Polish Association of Strength Athletes selected Poland’s national team for the World Powerlifting Championships, scheduled to take place at the end of August in the United States. Among the selected athletes was our representative, Jolanta Anasiewicz of TKKF Bolesławiec. It was a great honor, but there was one problem... Each athlete had to find an individual sponsor for the trip. The cost of the trip was $2,000. The expedition to conquer the world will probably not take place.
In July, the entire cream of Poland’s junior tennis squad competed in Poznań as part of the 1st Polish Youth Olympics.
