We presented to our Readers the BONITEX Technical Fabrics Manufacturing Plant S.A. in Bolesławiec in the March issue of Głos. This modern production plant has become a source of pride and a showcase for the city. It was included on the nationwide NFI list alongside Wizów, Ampułki and PZZ, which is sufficient testimony to the company’s economic condition and standing.
Today, some information about the assistance provided to the city and healthcare institutions beyond the local scale. The plant’s cooperation with the Wrocław Oncology Centre under a permanent agreement deserves attention. Let us add that employees of Bonitex were operated on at this research and treatment facility. A one-off grant of 40 million old złotys did not close the matter: further substantial material assistance is planned in the future. Let us also add that women employed at the factory will undergo preventive oncological examinations and, if necessary, be hospitalized. Bonitex also helped the Bolesławiec hospital purchase specialized equipment, and it did not refuse financial support to the hospital in the neighboring town of Lwówek Śl.
At the same time, it is an exemplary sponsor and patron of local education: it did not begrudge 50 million złotys for repairs to the roof of I General Secondary School, will support II General Secondary School, and the factory’s repair crew helped renovate the Mechanical Technical School. The list of petitioners seeking financial support has grown to include the Military District Headquarters, the Police Headquarters /10 million złotys/, the Fire Service /10 million złotys/ and other institutions. Our newspaper also received financial assistance, as the costs of publishing the monthly continue to rise.
And yet one must not forget about the company’s own investments, modernization and keeping pace with technical progress, because the competition never sleeps. It is time to commission the plant laboratory and purchase modern imported equipment costing... 2.5 billion złotys per unit. This gives an idea of the scale of the problems.
