Writing about the 50th anniversary of the Bolesławiec PSS, we omitted the name of one of its distinguished pioneers, Mrs. Maria Owczarek.
This is confirmed by an original document dated April 1, 1947, which we quote in full:
"The Management Board of the ‘Pionier’ Consumers’ Cooperative in Bolesławiec certifies that Citizen Maria Owczarek was employed at the local cooperative as a shop manager from December 19, 1945, to April 1, 1947. During her employment, the above-mentioned Citizen performed her duties conscientiously and diligently; she was dismissed at her own request."
The document bears the stamp of the ‘Pionier’ Consumers’ Cooperative and two signatures: T. Owczarek and J. Łacina.
