The music from the jam session is still ringing in my ears; I still spring out of bed, full of emotions and new literary ideas; the ID badge is still lying on my desk... Unfortunately, "Blues nad Bobrem" has come to an end. What is there to remember? Perhaps my beginnings at the "Plus Minus Blues" newspaper? The "aquarium" press office, which gave me a wonderful lesson in tolerance; the "Technicians," who, apart from teaching me how to write, gave me a real school of life (for which I sincerely – and yet I do – thank them)? Or perhaps the atmosphere? The people, perhaps?! There was a lot of it all.Lecturers. Great figures from the music scene, previously known only from newspapers and television, names connected with living people whom I met in person. Leszek Cichoński, for example, or Ja... Krzaklewski, or Ms Jana Trawniczek. And it all began with holiday plans that changed. With nothing else to do, I went to BOK and tried to "get myself in" to work at BnB. It was not easy at all; wanting it was not enough to get into the editorial office – you needed some imagination, flair and talent, as well as luck...I succeeded: Ms Jana Trawniczek, a wonderful woman, an excellent organiser of a large part of the city's cultural life and editor-in-chief of the festival newspaper, accepted me into the group of writers. There I met some great girls (especially Mrówda, who was ready to "marry" Rafał for me), as well as several wonderful, charming and truly fantastic men from the newspaper's technical team (special thanks to Marcin, who patiently put up with me). Step by step, I got to know this great event from the inside...Lecturers. Great figures from the music scene, previously known only from newspapers and television, names connected with living people whom I met in person. Leszek Cichoński, for example, or Ja... Krzaklewski, or Ms JanaTrawniczek. Workshop participants – such celebrities as PIVO and NO COMMENTS, and all those brilliant "string players," vocalists, keyboardists and "drummers." All of them, together with the staff, formed a great blues machine that lived its own unique, one-of-a-kind life. It did not matter that I came home as if to a hotel – to eat and sleep – during that week "taken out of my life" (as my mother wittily says, having patiently put up with it...) I experienced many unforgettableI attended lectures (especially enjoying those by W. Seweryn and J. Konefał), listened to musical and technical novelties, and sighed over the American Kenny Garr, embarrassed that, overcome by emotion, I had completely forgotten the English I knew (he had come to Bolesławiec especially for blues music consultations). I shook hands with Sławek Wierzcholski himself from "Nocna Zmiana Bluesa"...I took part in the jury's deliberations when it selected the winner of the Blues Bands Review, and sat right in front of the stage at the Final Concert. And I now know that Blues nad Bobrem is not only about the good sides. It also means a great deal of work, phones ringing off the hook, constantly counting money, looking for sponsors, technical problems (although this year LDM took care of the equipment and outfitting of the workshops, which performed brilliantly), as well as people who are unfavourable toward the event (what annoys me most is when someone has no idea about something but gets very negatively involved in it!).The Jams also caused problems; Marcin Guzik put it most aptly: "this subject is as long and dangerous as a river; you can pour water and get yourself thoroughly soaked." To this day I do not understand why the "Arietta" Club was packed to the rafters while, at the same time, the Jam was deserted... It prompts the reflection that the Jams have passed and are probably impossible to recreate, while "Arietta" stands as it did before Blues nad Bobrem.Nevertheless, it was great! Differences in age, opinions and faith blurred because everyone was united by the blues. I remember Ms Agnieszka Trawniczek, who led the vocal classes, very fondly (and I was not the only one). They took place in a warm atmosphere accompanied by truly hard work. The results became visible at the Final Concert. She was someone who did not shut herself off behind a wall of greatness, but came down to the "little ones." She brightened the basement of our workshop with her smile and brought kind words. She is a good teacher who must not be absent next year.Ms Jana, after some time has passed since BnB, I say: veni, vidi, vici! And here is another fragment of a song:"This special day awakens, bringing joy to every hallThis is a day of kindness for people, only one such day in the whole year...At dusk it will flash with flame, melting the evil in our hearts, before the night of reconciliation arrives – only one such night in the whole year...Chorus:Though there is so much sorrow in us and sleeping anger remains—pass the sign of peace to one another, pass the sign.Keep in mind, dear ones – you create the "blues...," which should bring joy, not anger and hatred.
