"NEIGHBOURS ON GUARD – 2"5. WHAT YOU MUST NOT DO!YOU MUST NOT VIOLATE THE PERSONAL RIGHTS AND PRIVACY BOUNDARIES OF YOUR NEIGHBOURS' LIVES WHEN THIS IS NOT NECESSARY AND ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL! YOU MAY LOSE FRIENDS AS A RESULT, AND YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE "NEIGHBOURS ON GUARD" PROJECT MAY END IN FAILURE.THEREFORE:-be prudent – react only in justified situations,-notify the police about the incident and let them do what is their responsibility,-if it turns out to be a false alarm – do not worry – the police will be grateful for your response,-when the police arrive at the scene, do not be afraid to share your observations and provide the negative or video camera on which you recorded the criminal act,-if you are afraid of something and wish to remain anonymous, arrange a telephone appointment and meet with the police officer handling the case (district officer) at a police unit or elsewhere, or contact the duty officer of the territorially competent police unit; you may also contact the duty officer of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra at telephone no. 210-116. WHAT DOES PARTICIPATION IN THE "NEIGHBOURS ON GUARD" CONCEPT PROVIDE?-you will find yourself in safer and more friendly surroundings, knowing that you are not alone in your efforts,-you will calmly go on holiday, take a weekend trip or go to work when you are certain that your neighbour – who is at home at that time – is looking after your property,-your town, housing estate and street will be safer when everyone joins the activities in accordance with the concept presented and combats all manifestations of wrongdoing.7. WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IN THIS SITUATION?-join in and carry out the tasks presented with your neighbours as soon as possible. Do not be indifferent. Help yourself and others.-if none of your neighbours knows the "Neighbours on Guard" concept – promote it.
