Dr. Krzysztof Bąk submitted a comprehensive and fully justified interpellation, criticizing the operation of the municipal market on Jeleniogórska Street. In the councillor’s opinion, the market square was poorly located from the outset: there is no exit, traffic is practically one-way, no car park with a paved surface has been organized, and reversing vehicles from the square toward the busy bypass creates a risk of serious collisions. The sanitary standard of the facility is alarming; it is simply very dirty, there is no toilet or waste bin, and it is difficult to speak of basic hygiene, while food products are sold there.
To make matters worse, the facility is visibly deteriorating: for example, approximately 100 linear metres of fencing have already disappeared, leaving only the posts. On the side of Komuny Paryskiej Street, vandals (thieves?) are also gradually removing the fence, dismantling individual sections. The latest inspection of the market served its purpose, but the problem must be resolved comprehensively.
