From 23 to 29 October, the State Music School in Bolesławiec had the pleasure of hosting Ursula Keusen-Nickel, Director of the Music School in St. Augustin, and Jost Nickel, Director of the Music School in Siegburg. Both are long-standing teachers, composers and instrumentalists. Ursula Keusen-Nickel worked with the Bolesławiec PSM school orchestra and with students playing string instruments, while Mr Nickel played with a group of students playing wind instruments.
In addition to many hours of work with the students, the musicians played together with teachers from our music school. These were rehearsals for a concert held on 28 October at the Old Theatre. The concert featured student chamber ensembles, the PSM school orchestra and teachers Agnieszka Bednarczyk, Dorota Popek, Marian Kostecki, Józef Dolecki and Leszek Żyzny. The musicians performed works by Antonio Vivaldi, Jean-Marie Leclair, G. F. Telemann and others. Two songs, "Drei Catalonische Marienlieder" and "Czarna Madonna", composed by Ursula Keusen-Nickel, were presented. They were sung by Dorota Pińczuk, accompanied by Ursula Keusen-Nickel (cello) and Jost Nickel (transverse flute).
On 30 October, the Nickels and Dorota Pińczuk performed both songs again at Jasna Góra.
Both student representatives and teachers were invited by Jost Nickel to Siegburg, where further concerts will take place on 6 and 7 September 1995.
The State First-Degree Music School in Bolesławiec invites you on 2 December 1994 at 5:00 p.m. to the "Forum" hall, where a CONCERT BY AN 80-MEMBER INTERNATIONAL YOUTH ORCHESTRA OF MUSIC SCHOOLS FROM THE NYSA EUROREGION will be held.
