What is the level of wealth among the residents of Bolesławiec, and what is the financial condition of families? This is by no means a rhetorical question, and the Mayor of the City indirectly answered it during the latest session of the City Council: within nine months of this year, the city spent 8 billion (!) złoty on social assistance, while as many as 12 percent of residents benefit from various forms of social assistance... This explains the need to establish a parish soup kitchen for the poor, an initiative actively supported by the Councilors’ Club of the Community of Catholic Families. Let us jointly seek wealthy sponsors for a foundation that will collect funds for this purpose and organize the distribution of hot meals to poor people, if they are to survive the approaching winter. We appeal to those who have not yet experienced poverty firsthand: help those in need! Applications are accepted by the Pastoral Ministry of the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help at 2 Plac Zamkowy.
