The most important trace a person leaves behind is the good they have done for others. Successive generations can express their gratitude by cherishing the memory of those who have passed away.
Since 1968, the Helena and Wincenty Tyrankiewicz Scholarship has been awarded annually at the Wł. Broniewski General Secondary School in Bolesławiec to the most talented students and graduates. Helena and Wincenty Tyrankiewicz were outstanding educators who helped establish the Bolesławiec secondary school many years ago. It is no exaggeration to say that their complete devotion to working with young people made an invaluable contribution to the intellectual and personal development of numerous groups of students from several generations. By passing on to young people the entire material wealth they had accumulated during their lives, they extended the fulfilment of their consciously chosen life mission into the years ahead – when their lives came to an end, they continued to provide financial assistance.
Today, the scholarship fund amounts to approximately 100 million zlotys accumulated in the account of the school’s Parents’ Committee thanks to the generosity of Bolesławiec workplaces and private individuals. The scholarships are paid from interest on the accumulated fixed-term deposits. There are many scholarship candidates, as many talented young people leave our school every year.
In the current school year, on the occasion of National Education Day, the Parents’ Committee, the administrator of the scholarship fund, awarded four scholarships worth 3 million zlotys to outstanding students and graduates of the school, following a motion by the Teachers’ Council:

The Parents’ Committee and the Administration of the Wł. Broniewski General Secondary School in Bolesławiec appeal for support for the Helena and Wincenty Tyrankiewiez scholarship fund.
