The event deserves wider promotion: it attracts an increasing number of participants and spectators while requiring no major financial outlay. The winners received commemorative trophies and diplomas, as well as small gifts.
2. On 3 September 1994, a national bench-press tournament was held. Twelve teams from across Poland took part, and in strong competition the athletes of TKKF "Bolesławianka" won third place.
Those deserving special mention include JOLANTA ANASIEWICZ, who took first place among the women and set a Polish record with a result of 55 kg. Jolanta is an aerobics instructor who combines the beauty of movement with strength.
JERZY LEWANDOWSKI also took first place in the heavyweight category, pressing 150 kg. Meanwhile, JAROSŁAW FILIST came second in the light-heavyweight category with a result of 115 kg!!
The traditions of the weightlifting section, which was strong in the 1970s, are being carried on by younger "strongmen" from Bolesławiec.
3. The older juniors coached by MIROSŁAW SZAPIEL began their campaign in the inter-district league. Their start was highly successful: in their first four matches, the BKS juniors earned seven points, drawing only once, in Ziębice against the local Sparta.
They defeated the following teams: Moto-Jelcz, Ślęza – Wrocław and Kryształ-Stronie. Long may it continue!! The BKS team is the only representative from the Jelenia Góra Voivodeship in this league! In the standings, it occupies third place behind the Śląsk – Wrocław and Piast – Nowa Ruda footballers.
4. The Bolesławiec veterans' team took part in an international tournament in Pirna, Germany. Teams from the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Germany also participated. The Bolesławiec representatives won four of their five matches and drew one, taking first place and a magnificent trophy. BRAVO!! The young footballers could follow their example I
5. KRYSTIAN PFEIFER of MKT Bolesławiec, coached by his father WALDEMAR PFEIFER, won the Polish championship in Toruń in the under-16 boys' category.
In the final, he defeated Maciej DONDA of Warsaw 6:1 and 6:2; he also won the doubles competition and the national W. Fibak tournament in Poznań!! These achievements led to his being called up to Poland's junior tennis squad. Congratulations to father and son—we wish them many victories!!
6. FOOTBALL IN BERLIN – a friendly match between Poland and Germany!! SV Gatow Berlin won. The only Polish goal was scored by Mucha Dariusz. After the match, a collection was held for the Children's Home in Bolesławiec. The fundraiser was organized and conducted by AKSEL ElSENBLATTER, ably assisted by his WIFE ELŻBIETA. The money was handed over. Heartfelt recognition and thanks.
7. The BKS Bolesławiec seniors are not in the best form!! After six matches of the autumn round, they are 14th with three points. We hope this bad run will end for the footballers!!
8. JAKUB WOŁYŃSKI, a younger junior of the BKS team, produced a shot of rare beauty in the match against GRYF in Gryfów! F r o m a distance of 35 m, he hit the very top corner of the GRYF goal and scored. Coach T. BENESIEWICZ described the shot as the goal of his life. BRAVO!!!
