Dear Sir or Madam,
The Polish Red Cross is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. Throughout all these years, it has provided assistance to those who, for various reasons, have found themselves in difficult circumstances. It has reached out with support to people who are poor, ill, lonely and lost. Welfare work is only one form of our activity. However, as the living conditions of many families deteriorate, its humanitarian aspect is becoming especially significant. Despite numerous difficulties, including financial problems, the Red Cross has not stopped helping those in need. Over the past several years, the situation of children has worsened. A hot meal is sometimes the only meal a child receives. Last school year, we paid for more than 1,000 lunches. In 1994, we are continuing this campaign in schools. We appeal to you for financial support for the Polish Red Cross. We are a social organization and can offer our help to others, but its scope is determined by our financial resources. We count on your goodwill toward our activities and on your support, whether financial or in the form of donations of goods that can serve others. We sincerely thank you for every contribution to the charitable work of the Polish Red Cross.
Vice President of the Board of the PCK Local Branch – Sławomir Leszczyński.
