Employees of the Wrocław branch of the Meteorological Forecast Office of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management predict that on August 1, storms with intermittent rainfall will pass over Lower Silesia. The warning is in effect until August 2, until 9:00 a.m. The storms may be accompanied by gusty winds reaching speeds of up to 70 km/h.
The phenomenon may cause disruptions to the operation of electrical equipment, fire hazards and a risk to life from lightning strikes. The situation is being monitored on an ongoing basis by the Voivodeship Crisis Management Centre.
