I first encountered "Głos Bolesławca" in Złoty Potok... And several days earlier, on 23 May, I had become a laureate of the "Granica" Poetry Competition; at BOK, I received first prize. I believe that the Poetry Festival in Bolesławiec was very successful. Only the absence of the co-organizers, of whom there were several, was surprising... On the other hand, I was delighted by the crowd in the hall – there were so many viewers of different ages, listening with great attention to the poems of Marianna Bocian, a renowned poet from Wrocław; the lecture by Dr Stefan Bednarek (whom Mr Omelaniuk mentioned warmly as a co-organizer of the "Karta regionalizmu"); the poems of Ryszard Gruchawka from Stara Oleszna, discovered so late in Bolesławiec and better known in Kraków, Wrocław and Jelenia Góra; as well as the works awarded in the competition, presented by their authors. It was very pleasant; it was a shame to part... I believe (and this is not a cheap compliment) that your newspaper stands out among other local publications..."
