On 9 June 1994, the Municipal Recitation Contest was held in Kruszyn. Students from primary schools, in grades V–VIII, recited poems on satirical and nature-related themes. The committee, composed of Grażyna Wężyk, Janina Jędrzejewska and Krystyna Boratyńska, selected the winners. First place went to Magdalena Dąbrowa from Bożejowice, second place to Aleksandra Kordasiewicz from Primary School No. 5 in Bolesławiec, and third place to Joanna Żugaj from Żeliszów. The committee also decided to recognize Anna Kwaśniewska, Anna Buszta, Agnieszka Ostrowska, Sylwia Szyszka, Przemek Stasik and Justyna Herbut. Each participant received a copy of the book "Robin Hood" as a memento of taking part. We hope that everyone was satisfied. A pleasant surprise for the audience and contest participants was a theatrical performance of "Cinderella". The roles of the fairy-tale characters were played by students from the primary school in Kraśnik Dolny.
