Volleyball players from BKS are also competing in Bolesławiec’s sports halls.
The senior team, coached by Jerzy Nastula, is taking part in the inter-provincial league, to which they were promoted in 1993. After the first stage of the competition, the volleyball players are performing very well and, having won most of their matches, finished first and advanced to the next round. They are competing alongside the teams of Gwardia II Wrocław, Chełmiec II Juwentur Wałbrzych and Bielawianka Bielawa. In the first match against Gwardia in Wrocław, our young volleyball players received a harsh lesson in the game and lost both matches 3:0, clearly falling short against the Wrocław team, which were the Polish junior champions.
The second two-match series in Bielawa brought one 3:0 victory and one 1:3 defeat.
The two-match series against Chełmiec in Bolesławiec also brought BKS two 3:1 defeats. The rematch against Gwardia in Bolesławiec again went against our team and resulted in two 3:0 defeats. The remaining matches are the return fixtures against Wałbrzych and Bielawa. The two best teams will advance to playoffs for promotion to the third division.
We should note that, despite the defeats mentioned above, our volleyball players still have a chance of promotion; the decisive fixture will be the two-match series against Bielawianka in Bolesławiec.
