On 2 November, the opening and consecration took place of a cemetery chapel in Kruszyn, much needed for funeral rites. In a solemn and dignified atmosphere, the jointly constructed building was officially put into use. Arranging a funeral for the residents of Kruszyn will no longer be a problem. Among the invited guests were Dean Władysław Rączka and Kazimierz Gawron, Head of Bolesławiec Municipality. The chapel was created thanks to the work and generosity of the people. The residents of Kruszyn organized a fundraiser, tidied up the cemetery and undertook many tasks related to the construction. Bolesławiec Municipal Office financed most of the purchases of building materials and transportation.
Many people were involved in the preparatory and implementation work on this project. One of them is the village head of Kruszyn, EDWARD WESELAK, whose level of selfless commitment probably cannot be measured by any device. He spent every free moment at the construction of the chapel. The residents of Kruszyn cannot imagine another village head, saying that it would be difficult to find a person so devoted—not only to this matter. After passing through the cemetery gate, beyond the avenue of old trees, one can see the new chapel: the fruit of the work and cooperation of many people.
