On November 4, a meeting was held between the City Board and the Board of the Bolesławiec Enthusiasts’ Society. The issues discussed included cooperation and publications.
Representatives of both Boards recognized the need to improve the atmosphere, which had not been the best in their contacts in recent months. Members of the TMB Board expressed their readiness to prepare and publish a series of folder postcards featuring Bolesławiec’s historic landmarks. They also announced that an art calendar for 1994 had been published, featuring drawings of Bolesławiec, Kliczków, Nowogrodziec, Lwówek Śląski and Lubań. TMB could publish YEARBOOKS – CHRONICLES containing a compendium of events from every year and every area of the city’s life. Both sides agreed that publications of this kind were worthwhile. There is also a need to reissue the popular brochure about the city.
However, the publishing plans require financial support. TMB will submit a request to the City Board for funds from the city budget for publishing purposes. The City Board promised to reconsider a request to purchase pages in “Głos” in order to expand the scope of objective information about the activities of the Board and the local government.
