In the first half of 1993, 540 new citizens were born in Bolesławiec, 251 people died, and 118 couples got married.
The youngest bride was not yet 17, while the oldest was 67. Compared with 1983, a decline can be observed in the number of marriages and births. In 1983, 431 couples got married, while in 1992 there were 265. Ten years ago, 1,957 births were recorded, compared with 1,167 in 1992.
In recent years, there has been no particular “fashion” for names. Typical names are returning: Stefania, Stanisław, Aleksander, Jan, Tomasz, Wojciech.
Several original names have also appeared: Amanda, Sonia, Amalia, Kiara, Estella, Nikola, Sandra, Liana, Samuel and Michael.
