On November 24, the second edition of the Disco Dance Competition was held in the hall of the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre in Kruszyn.
Children and young people from primary schools in Nowe Jaroszowice, Nowa Wieś Kraśnicka, Kruszyn, Trzebień, Ocice, Żeliszów, Kraśnik Dolny, Brzeźnik and Primary School No. 5 in Bolesławiec took part in the competition. The competition was held in three categories: Soloists, Duets and Groups.
The competition jury, consisting of Elżbieta Tor, Małgorzata Waszkiewicz and Ryszard Rojek, decided that in the soloists’ category, first place went to Marta Rybak from Primary School No. 5 in Bolesławiec, second place to Joanna Goleńska from Trzebień, and third place to Edyta Jakieła from Ocice. In the duets category, first place went to Anna Sabadasz and Ewelina Matyjewicz from Ocice, and second place to Edyta Charewicz and Monika Stelmaszek from Trzebień. In the groups category, first place went to the group from Żeliszów, second place to the group from Kraśnik Dolny, and third place to the group from Trzebień.
Honorable mentions went to Magda Ochyra from Kruszyn and Gabrysia Długosz from Kraśnik in the soloists’ category, and to Ola Truszkowska and Daria Łukasiewicz from Kruszyn, as well as Dorotka Szpila and Sebastian Taradajczyk, also from Kruszyn. In the groups category, the group from Kruszyn received an honorable mention.
The Final of the Poetry Creativity Competition was held at the same time as the Disco Dance Competition. The finalists, or their classmates, recited their poems beautifully to atmospheric musical accompaniment.
Next year we will meet again on the same stage, and I hope we will have such a great group once again.
