There is no need to prove that the situation of Polish education is very difficult. All the more reason, therefore, to note with interest and hope the establishment of the Group of Creative Teachers, which was constituted on 27 April at Primary School No. 1 in Bolesławiec. It was agreed that the organisational phase would end when the group was transformed into the Association of Creative Teachers under the President of Bolesławiec. The initiator, originator and “spiritual and substantive” patron is Wacława Wożniak, an inspector of the Education Authority in Jelenia Góra. The meeting addressed the tasks, forms and objectives of the group’s activities, which come down to promoting pro-innovation attitudes and making the teaching and educational system more attractive.
The group’s membership remains open: the only criterion will be the ability to propose creative solutions in the broadly understood educational process.
Everyone interested in the initiative (teachers, parents and institutions) is asked to contact Primary School No. 1 in Bolesławiec, 12 Armii Krajowej Street, tel. 28-09.
