Bolesławiec and the problems involved in their ongoing maintenance are known to everyone concerned who uses these roads. Despite the significantly increased scope of road repairs carried out annually in the municipality in recent years, the ongoing regeneration of the surfaces must be constantly monitored so that they do not deteriorate too quickly after modernization.
The implementation of road works, involving the construction of asphalt surfaces, is entrusted to professional specialist companies selected through a tender. Often, however, the need to organize roads by leveling their surfaces—particularly unpaved sections of rural roads—requires us to use equipment rented from other units. Too often, we were forced to use this specialist equipment not always at the times when we needed it most.
In this situation, the Commune Head proposed to the Commune Board and the Council that a grader be purchased exclusively for the commune’s needs. This initiative was approved by the Commune Council. It was decided to accept the offer of Przedsiębiorstwo Handlowe "i.t.c." in Białystok and purchase a durable and relatively inexpensive DZ-180 grader. It can be used for leveling and snow removal on roads, as well as for leveling rural waste collection points.
The purchase of the grader is planned for the beginning of July this year, and its operation in the field should be tested in the near future.
May it serve the residents of our commune for as long as possible.
