In the February issue of "Głos Bolesławca", an article entitled "The City's Liberation – the Return of Polish Identity" was published, signed Z.B. Clearly, it was the author's wish not to provide his first and last name. In the article, the author did not refer in any way to his profession or social function. He invoked Article 15 of the Press Law, whose first paragraph establishes that the author of press material has the right to keep his name confidential.
Meanwhile, issue 49 of "Słowo Polskie" contained a polemic with the idea expressed in "The City's Liberation...", signed by an author using the pseudonym "eko", in which the Press Law was violated in an article concerning an author's right to keep his name confidential. What is more, by making public his social function in an organized group, it is suggested that "Z.B." expressed an opinion shared more broadly by that group, although he had no such intention whatsoever.
"eko" may completely disagree with the views of the author of the publication in "Głos Bolesławca", but nothing excuses him for breaking the law. Allow me also a certain inconsistency: while exposing the publication's author, he himself hides behind a pseudonym, although good manners in such circumstances dictate revealing not only the views but also the name of the person expressing them in polemical form.
It can be done this way, but it isn't fair...
