In February, the main topic of the City Council session was the adoption of the city budget for 1993. At the meeting on 23 March, the leading topic was the adoption of the city’s general spatial development plan. In April, councillors will hear a report on the execution of the city budget for 1992. There will also be information from the City Board on cooperation between the local government and state-owned and cooperative enterprises, with particular emphasis on combating unemployment in Bolesławiec. The dominant topic in June will be information from the City Board and the Education Inspectorate concerning the takeover of primary schools by the local government. At the same time, the agenda of the June session provides for information from the State District Sanitary Inspector on the sanitary condition of the city of Bolesławiec, including commercial and catering premises, the marketplace, etc. In September, the main topic will be information on the execution of the city budget during the first half of 1993, while in October the District Police Commander will provide information on public safety in the city. In December, the city budget for 1994 and the City Council’s work plan for 1994 will be discussed. This brief information contains only a list of the City Council’s main or more important topics. The City Council’s work plan provides for several other equally important topics, and practically certainly, additional topics arising from the city’s current needs and affairs will be added to the session agenda each month.
