In response to a note in issue No. 5 of "Głos Bolesławca," the State District Sanitary Inspector in Bolesławiec informs readers that supervision of residential buildings does not fall within the responsibilities of the State Sanitary Inspection. The State Sanitary Inspection intervenes only in response to residents’ complaints and, when sanitary or order-related shortcomings are identified, issues fines, which leads to an immediate improvement in the cleanliness of stairwells.
However, there may be serious reservations about administrators’ and owners of commercial premises’ fulfillment of the obligation arising from the law concerning the maintenance of order and cleanliness in cities and housing estates.

From the editorial office: Thank you for taking an interest in the note and for informing us that it is nevertheless possible to fine dirty offenders.
On this occasion, we would like to inform you that those most concerned (MZBM and SM) have unfortunately not responded—as yet—to our note.
