On 14 November 1992, at the Cemetery in Bolesławiec, we said farewell to mgr JULIUSZ JAMROZ. He died suddenly, in the full strength of his life and professional activity, while serving as director of Bank PKO. He belonged to that generation of Bolesławiec residents who spent almost their entire adult lives connected with this city.
He was among the first group of graduates of the General Secondary School. It was the first post-war school-leaving examination in our city. Later, for many years, he was the honorary Chairman of the Secondary School Graduates’ Association.
As an economist, he worked in banking, both at NBP and Bank PKO. He was a kindly adviser on financial matters and a good organiser. He shared his experience and knowledge while working as a lecturer at the Economic Secondary School. Many of today’s Bolesławiec economists are Mr Julius’s graduates. He did not belong to any political party, and in his social activities he was guided by a sense of shared responsibility and a desire to leave lasting traces behind.
In this spirit, he served as Chairman of the Voivodeship National Council in Jelenia Góra. This high position allowed him to see many of Bolesławiec’s affairs and left a visible legacy in the city. He was preparing to retire, but did not live to do so.
Bolesławiec has lost an interesting and colourful figure—a man of great culture and a very big heart.
HONOUR HIS MEMORY!
He Lived Among Us...
