A particularly difficult period lies ahead of us. How can we get through it? The closer winter gets, the more often this question is asked. This is also the case at Zespół Szkól Zawodowych im. mjr. H. Sucharskiego in Bolesławiec. The school is housed in three buildings, two of which were apparently built before the war (and, in any case, not for school purposes). Today, they require a thorough renovation.
Unfortunately, there is no money for a general renovation. There is none for painting, teaching aids or cleaning supplies either. There is already not enough for social security contributions and tax. It is fortunate that there is enough to pay salaries. For now! Because who knows what will happen in a month or two. The school is still state-run, so students are guaranteed free education, but the headteacher and parent committees are increasingly appealing for public assistance, including to parents, and the latter are becoming increasingly poorer.
The entire burden of coping therefore falls on the school. Valuable time and energy are spent looking for money. The most important matter in recent weeks has been stockpiling fuel for the winter season. How can this be done when the education authority has not given the school even a penny for this purpose? Almost none of last year’s supplies remain, as they will last for only two or three weeks. So what next? The prospect of studying in a cold school, or lessons in July or August? Neither option is a good solution.
WE THEREFORE APPEAL to everyone who is still able to help the school. Every złoty counts. HELP THE SCHOOL SURVIVE THE WINTER!!! Help your children at the same time. We would like to inform you that payments can be made to the following account:
ZESPÓŁ SZKÓŁ ZAWODOWYCH im. mjr. II. Sucharskiego, Bolesławiec, ul. Komuny Paryskiej, Bank Zachodni O/Bole sławiec 382210-866.
