On Tuesday, June 24, Bolesławiec police detained a 24-year-old man who threatened his acquaintance with a blank-firing pistol. The two men happened to meet on one of the streets of our town. An argument broke out. At one point, the attacker pulled out the weapon, fired into the air and demanded the mobile phone. When he received it, he declared that he would return it, but only for PLN 400. The victim said that he did not have that amount with him. The 24-year-old then left with the appropriated phone.
Police found both the blank-firing pistol and the phone on the attacker. The man now faces a sentence of up to 8 years in prison.
