At the Readers’ suggestion, in each issue of "Głos" we will present more information about the Municipal Council and its bodies. To begin, an introduction.
The leadership of the Municipal Council consists of: Edward Gałka, Wiesław Ogrodnik and Stefania Łomnicka.
The members of the City Management Board are: Józef Król (Mayor of the City and chair of the Management Board), Jan Jasiukiewicz (Deputy Mayor of the City and deputy chair of the Municipal Management Board), as well as Leszek Baj, Andrzej Czarciński, Longin Łukawski, Jan Ursel and Czesław Wierzbicki — members of the City Management Board.
The organizational units of the Urban Municipality are: Municipal Communal Services Company (director Kazimierz Niebieszczański), Municipal Housing Management Company (director Ryszard Czarniecki), Municipal Transport Company (director Zbigniew Derecki), Investment Services Company (director Marek Wicher), Bolesławiec Cultural Centre (director Danuta Maślicka), Municipal Public Library (director Wacława Skawińska), Ceramics Museum (manager Teresa Wolanin), Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre (director Zbigniew Samonek), Municipal Social Welfare Centre (manager Hannalora Ilczyna).
