From 17 to 19 July, the Polish Junior and Younger Junior Athletics Championships were held in Kielce.
Bolesławiec was represented at the championships by seven athletes from MKS "Bolesłavia". Among them, BARTOSZ GRUMAN, a student of the Technical Secondary School of Mechanics, won first place and the gold medal in the 400 m hurdles with a time of 53.91. The same athlete also finished fourth in the 110 m hurdles. Meanwhile, ZBIGNIEW PĘDLOWSKI, a student of the General Secondary School, won the bronze medal, finishing third in the 110 m hurdles with a time of 14.6. In addition, the following qualified for the finals: Jacek Pipała (General Secondary School) in the 400 m hurdles, Paweł Moroz (Mining Technical School) in the 100 m, and the 4 × 400 m relay team.
