Jacek Chlastawa is 12 years old. He is a pupil at Primary School No. 1, where he has just been promoted to Grade 6. He is interested in history, archaeology and ecology.
One day, he shyly knocked on the Society’s door and asked, equally shyly, whether he, a 12-year-old boy, could belong to TMB. He is drawn to the Society by the desire to take action: he would like to learn about and pass on to his classmates interesting facts related to the history of the town, and do something to make the town beautiful—not disfigured by stupid graffiti.
Jacek is interested in “Głos Bolesławca” and would like to help distribute it. He has many more ideas, too. We were genuinely surprised by his interests and willingness to act. He filled out the membership declaration with complete seriousness and offered to pay his membership fee for the entire year in advance.
We now have the youngest member of TMB, and even adults can learn from him about love for the town. We respectfully salute Jacek’s mother and his class teacher, congratulating them on his upbringing.
Well Done, Jacek
