On Sunday, 20 October 1996, I had the opportunity to take advantage of another BOK offering. This time I went to a performance by the Potem cabaret. The “Forum” cinema auditorium was packed with members of the older and youngest generations of the intelligentsia. It was the first time I had seen so many teachers with their families in the auditorium! Everyone had a wonderful time, picking up on the subtle literary wit and applauding the actors’ performances. After the show, quite a large group of young people also lined up for autographs, while I wanted to exchange a few more words with the only woman in the cabaret, Ms Joanna Chuda, MA – my former student from the Horticultural Technical School in Głogów. The actors were already preparing for their next performance, while the Bolesławiec cable television crew was waiting to interview them. Ultimately, there was enough time for everyone. Here are some of their statements and a photograph dedicated to “Głos Bolesławca”. Potem was founded at the WSP club in Zielona Góra as a typical student cabaret, consciously abandoning political commentary in favour of literary cabaret that creates reality. “We do nothing to please the crowd; we like laughing and having fun with others,” the actors say, which is why they always find their audience. We warmly greet the residents of Bolesławiec and... Warta Bolesławiecka. Bye!
