In the presence of representatives of the local authorities of the city and municipality of Bolesławiec, veterans’ organizations, and the many parents, partners and friends who had gathered, a group of several dozen soldiers with the shortest length of service took the military oath in the 18th Missile Regiment. Among those commended by acting commander Lt. Col. Kazimierz Siemieniecki, PhD, with short-term leave and commemorative diplomas as a reward for exemplary discipline, commitment to training and results achieved were, among others, the following privates: Łukasz Stanik from Bolesławiec, Bartłomiej Ostrowski from Parzyce in the municipality of Nowogrodziec, Jacek Michalski from Radłówka in the municipality of Lwówek Śl., Tomasz Szczurek from Zgorzelec and Jacek Gasik from Zawidów near Zgorzelec.
A particularly pleasant touch was the presentation of letters of congratulations to the parents of the commended soldiers and flowers to their mothers.
